MSCA-GLOPOL, DG EAC, CSIR, and the EU Delegation to India, with the support of EURAXESS India, are jointly organising a networking and brokerage session on the MSCA Staff Exchanges Call 2026. The session will cover the novelties of the 2026 call, the existing co-funding mechanism with CSIR, eligibility (including for CSIR staff), and what is funded. It will also offer guidance on finding European and Indian partners and include short flash presentations by participating organisations.
About the CSIR-EU Co-funding
The European Union and India’s Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) have launched a co-funding initiative under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Staff Exchanges, part of the Horizon Europe programme.
Through this scheme:
- CSIR will top up selected MSCA Staff Exchanges projects.
- Enables CSIR institutes to participate in joint research with European/international partners.
- Supports secondment of CSIR staff to Europe for research and knowledge exchange.
Funding duration: 2025 to 2027
Eligibility: All CSIR institutions involved in successful MSCA Staff Exchanges projects.
CSIR Call Launch: 23 January 2026
CSIR Deadline: 16 May 2026

2. Expertise offers (priority to widening countries, then first-come-first-served)

Information about the Co-Funding Scheme
Organisations planning to apply for upcoming Staff Exchanges calls are strongly encouraged to partner with CSIR entities. Projects should:
- Build on prior collaborations.
- Aim for long-term partnerships.
- Include at least one CSIR institution and staff member.
This partnership enhances India-EU R&I ties, supporting multilateral researcher exchanges under Horizon Europe.
